Def Jam Rapster - a new concept of music based gaming
Konami has pronounced the release dates of its latest music themed game -
Rapster. This game will be made available for U.S. stores on October 25 (for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) while UK citizens have to wait till November 5.
It is basically a Hip-Hop music game that runs on the karaoke-style game play. One who aspires to be an emcee then Def Jam Rapstar is certainly a game to polish your skills.
Unlike the Electronic Arts Def Jam series of Hip-Hop games this game has a totally different plot. It comes with a microphone and 40 Rap tracks from famous artists. It is developed by 4MM games that also enlist a Freestyle mode that allows the players to drop their rhymes over the tracks.
It features twenty tracks by famous Rap stars some of which are: "A Milli" by Lil' Wayne, "Best I Ever Had" by Drake, "Children's Story" by Slick Rick, "C.R.E.A.M." by Wu Tang Clan, "Da Rockwilder" by Redman and Method Man, "Gold Digger" by Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx, "Juicy" by Notorious B.I.G., "Just A Friend" by Biz Markie, "I Get Around" by 2 Pac, "I Get Money" by 50 Cent etc.
However for all Xbox 360 players and PlayStation 3 players the game will cost $70 while the Wii people are at an advantage as they need to shell out only $60.
