Defense Calls Up Expert To Reveal ‘How Text Message Could Be Fabricated’

Pramod_MahajanMumbai: The defense has called up a computer engineer as a witness in the Pramod Mahajan murder case to reveal before the Court that how a text message could be made up and transmitted (transferred) from Moto Razr mobile phone to a computer and vice-versa.

The presentment is to back up the defenses argument that the baleful SMS, supposedly sent by Pravin to Pramod, few days before the murder, was fabricated.

S P Davre, Additional Sessions Judge demanded the Pune-based computer expert, named Hari Krishna to present the demonstration on November 12, abiding by a hint of special public prosecuting attorney Ujjwal Nikam on Friday.

Krishna told that a text message could be made in a cellular phone not only making use of the memory card but also by linking it to the PC through a data-cable directly. This contradicted his earlier report that the text-message fabrication was only possible through the memory card.

The court then asked him to support his affirmations with the revelation.

Later, Nikam told that it was a vital point admitted by Krishna that if the phone memory is tampered with, it could result in damaging the mobile phone.

Interestingly, Krishna has been called to depose on the instructions of Pravin’s wife Sarangi’s brother Shailendra.
