Dennis Quaid’s hospital case over medication error closed

Dennis Quaid’s hospital case over medication error closedLondon, January 10 : Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberley can finally put to rest their legal dispute with a Los Angeles hospital that almost killed their newborn twins.

The couple had settled for 493,420 pounds in damages in December after the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center staff mistakenly gave a massive overdose of the blood thinner Heparin to little Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, two weeks after they were born.

The twins had then been struggling for their lives after the almost-fatal amount, reports the Daily Express.

The infants have since then recovered and are now healthier.

The hospital chiefs had also been slapped with a fine of 16,450 pounds following the conclusion that the staff had failed to follow its own procedures, and consequently administered incorrect doses of the drug to the actor's twins and other kids.

Entertainment Tonight reported that an LA judge officially ended the proceedings by signing off the settlement on January 8. (ANI)
