The Eagles top list of most expensive private party performers

London, Sept 21: American rock band The Eagles have topped a list of bands charging the highest fees to perform at a private party.

The band made nearly 4 million pounds singing Hotel California at a private party in New York in 2003.

Brit band The Rolling Stones ranked second place, making 3.5million pounds for an hour's work when they appeared at the 60th birthday party of Texas tycoon David Bonderman in Las Vegas in 2002.

Celine Dion (2.5 million pounds) for private performance twice or thrice a year and Elton John, (2million pounds), who sang at the wedding of London pub supremo Peter Shalson in 2002, secured third and fourth places respectively, reports the Daily Mail.

Christina Aguilera, who performed at wedding of Russian banker and industrialist Andrei Melnichenko to Miss Yugoslavia, Aleksandra Kokotovic in 2005 for 1.8 million pounds, rounded off the tip five, at the fifth spot.
