Educomp Solutions CEO Shantanu Prakash has announced that the company providing education solution swill now join hand with Zeebo and Lakshya in a joint venture, for the purpose of selling devices with educational content in India.

The joint venture termed as Zeebo India will be tapping the technology of Zeebo and will then be developing and presenting content for the school children here. An initial investment of $4 million is planned by the partners initially by the firm.

The devices will be operational with the Television and will take support of 3G services for functionality. The educational content will be available on TV. The pricing will be a reasonable one and will be roughly less than Rs. 5000.

The firms will be partnering with schools for the purpose of promoting and selling the product apart from the telecom operators and retailers that will be pushing for sales in the market.

Mexico and Brazil are currently the markets of Zeebo, apart from China where it has just started operations.
