Benfica was defeated by 4-1 goals in that match. The football used in that match was later donated by George Best to a man with whom he had a drink somewhere. It was happened in the year 1970. But finally it was on for an auction and fetched a good amount.
However, the final match in that year was very memorable for UK as it was the first time ever in the history of Euro Cup that an English team has managed to win the title.
The goals in that match were from Brian Kidd, Bobby Charlton and George Best for Manchester United. The auction for this football was held at the Eastbourne Auction Rooms in East Sussex.
