Four killed in Lahore Naval War College bomb blastLahore, Mar. 4: At least four people, including two suicide bombers and a naval personnel were killed, and 13 others injured in a suicide car bomb attack on Naval War College here on Tuesday.

Earlier reports said that six people had been killed in the incident.

One bomber blew himself up in the parking lot of the college, setting off blasts in nearby cars and sparking a fire, police and witnesses said.

“We have confirmed there were two suicide bombers, they came in a vehicle, entered into the parking area and exploded themselves,” spokesman Captain Akbar Naqi was quoted by foreign news agencies, as saying.

Lahore Police Chief Malik Mohammad Iqbal however said there was only one bomber.

Pakistan's interior ministry said four people were killed and 13 wounded.

The Naval War College trains senior naval officials from Pakistan and other countries, including China, Sri Lanka and at least a dozen Muslim nations. It moved to Lahore from Karachi in 1996. (ANI with inputs)
