Blur ‘to reunite, perform at Glastonbury’London, December 9 : Alternative rock band `Blur' is reportedly set to reunite and perform at Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts.

Rockers Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree, who have been missing from the music scene as a band since their 2003 tour, are expected to soon confirm their reunion.

The British pop group, which had suffered a row between Damon and Graham that resulted in the axe man's departure in 2002, is said to be coming back together at
2009's Glastonbury before doing their own show in London's Hyde Park in July.

Paula Abdul hasn’t been home since death of ‘obsessed’ fan

Paula AbdulWashington, December 9 : Paula Abdul has been staying in places other than her own after her alleged stalker committed suicide outside the American Idol judge's house entrance.

The body of Paula Goodspeed, who had been an unsuccessful contestant on the 5th season of the reality show, had been discovered near the singer's house in Sherman Oaks, California on November 11.

The police had earlier hinted that the `obsessed' 30-year-old might have died from a drug overdose.

The two-time Emmy Award-winner, who has put the `suicide' house on sale, said that she had been on the look out for a new residence.

Lily Allen is ‘trying to sober up’

Lily AllenNew York, December 9 : Singer Lily Allen has said that she has been trying to sober up after having had had a string of drunken public instances.

The Brit songwriter, who had to be carried out of the Glamour Women of the Year Awards by her brother in June because she had had too much to drink, said that she had stayed away from the bottle since September this year.

Allen had further told Elton John onstage to "F--- off," while she was under the influence of champagne at the U. K. GQ Men of the Year Awards in September.

Mercedes sports chief Haug calls on F1 to scrap hybrid system

Mercedes LogoStuttgart - Mercedes motorsport chief Norbert Haug has called for plans to introduce the hybrid system KERS in Formula One to be scrapped as a cost-saving measure.

Haug, whose company is part of the McLaren-Mercedes team, told the German weekly Motorsport aktuell published Tuesday that "the time for games is over" as motorsport seeks ways to rein in costs.

From next season teams will be allowed to use KERS - Kinetic Energy Retention Systems - to harness the energy created by a car's brakes and reuse it as a source of power.

Parliament session from Wednesday
