London, Nov 11 : Geri Halliwell is engaged to Formula One star Christian Horner.

The 42-year-old star former Spice Girl , who has been going out with Horner since the early 2014, revealed her happy news through a newspaper ad in the Births, Marriages and Deaths pages of The Times, which read "the engagement is announced between Christian, son of Mr and Mrs G. M. Horner and Geraldine, daughter of the Mr L. F. Halliwell and Mrs A. Parkinson," the Mirror reported.

The trend was started by 'Sherlock' star Benedict Cumberbatch, who had declared his engagement to theatre director Sophie Hunter in the old fashioned way.

Halliwell, also known as Ginger Spice, had reportedly told her pals that it was the happiest she had been in her life with the 40-year-old Red Bull Racing team boss. (ANI)
