Reports highlights that high radiations are emitted from cellular towers in various part of the city but the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) is against such reports because they believe that these reports have no basis or findings nationally or internationally.

R S Mathews, Director General COAI said that the conclusions are based on wrong facts and it has just created a panic and alarm amongst the general public.

COAI has characterized the view that a whole system of beliefs must be analyzed rather than simply its individual components. The reports should not be only based on the standard tests or benchmarks or on any commercial benefits, which can finally lead to alarming and misleading stage before the public.

Mr. Mathews expressed his view that in past, Indian Council of Medical research; Interphone has conducted all the studies regarding the same and it shows that current findings are questioning the studies done in the past.

In recent times, electronic media is highlighting that a company with the name of M/s COGENT EMR Solutions have analyzed high radiations in some parts of the city and they claim that these radiations are emitted from cellular towers in various parts of the city.
