Honda develops new automatic for cub-style engines
Tokyo - Honda has developed at new automatic transmission for cub-style engines that will become available for scooters released in the ASEAN region early next year, the Japanese manufacturer has announced.
The automatic transmission especially protects the belt drive from high temperatures and offers more convenience for scooters, especially popular in developing countries.
Built on the basis of the existing Honda small motorcycle automatic transmission, the manufacturer claims longer durability of the belt drive and an optimised layout. (dpa)
