HP ProCurve unveils new converged wired and wireless networking solutions
The networking division of Hewlett-Packard (HP) – HP ProCurve has unveiled new converged wired and wireless networking solutions – HP ProCurve MSM317 Access Device, HP ProCurve MSM760 Mobility Controller, HP ProCurve MSM765 Mobility Controller – that ensure the delivery of multiple IP-based services coalescing centralized network operations with a discrete in-wall access device. The new networking solutions have been developed for business customers.
The HP ProCurve MSM317 Access Device incorporates an 802.11b/g wireless access point and a 4-port wired Ethernet switch. The networking solution has been developed for installing in a standard wall electrical outlet. It can be centrally managed by any HP ProCurve MultiService mobility controller. The HP ProCurve MSM317 Access Device is available for Rs 23,732.
The two new HP ProCurve MultiService mobility controllers – HP ProCurve MSM760 Mobility Controller and HP ProCurve MSM765 Mobility Controller – allows the enterprise customers to centrally control and manage a network of MSM317 devices or any HP ProCurve wireless access points.
The HP ProCurve MSM317 links a number of IP-based devices, like VoIP telephones, televisions and other hotel room equipment while reducing power sourcing equipment through integrated power over Ethernet (PoE) support. The integrated access point offers wireless services to hotels, hospitals, dormitories and apartments, extending the range of mobile devices such as laptops and smartphones.
The HP ProCurve MSM760 Mobility Controller and HP ProCurve MSM765 Mobility Controller controllers offer consistent services anywhere on the network and allow customers to implement security, roaming and quality of service policies. The HP ProCurve MSM760 Mobility Controller is a stand-alone appliance, while the HP ProCurve MSM765 Mobility Controller physically integrates into HP ProCurve 5400 and 8200 series switches. The HP ProCurve MSM760 Mobility Controller is available for Rs 5,44,099, and the HP ProCurve MSM765 Mobility Controller is available for Rs 4,94,684.
