Hrudayalaya Unveils its New Hospital

Narayana-HrudayalayaNarayana Hrudayalaya, the Bangalore-based heart care hospital, has set up its new hospital Narayana Hrudayalaya-Mallareddy Hospital at Jeedimetla here today, with a noble aim to provide affordable quality healthcare.

The new hospital will is reported to possess a 30,000-bed strength in its health cities across the country in five years. It has earmarked Rs 1,000 crores for the expansion.

The Rs 200 crores multi-super specialty health centre is a joint venture of the Narayana Hrudayalaya Group and Malla Reddy Group of Institutions.

Its Intensive Treatment Units (ITU) are facilitate the state-of- the-art monitoring and life support systems for patients demanding urgent medical care and they are supported by the specially- trained, attentive and efficient staff.

The hospital chain, credited with performing the highest number of cardiac surgeries each day, also plans to set up health cities in Mexico, Malaysia and Indonesia, along with local partners, according to its Chairman Devi Prasad Shetty.

“Our dream is to make sophisticated healthcare facilities available to the masses, irrespective of class, creed or community with the sole aim of compassion and service to the sick and needy,’’ Devi Shetty said.

The group, via its research arm Thrombus Research Centre (TRT), is currently working on a vaccine to prevent heart attacks.
