The IT specialists for the aviation industry- IBS software entered into a pact with TUI Group Airlines. Under this deal the software giant will assist in providing professional services to the airlines. These services will include development, support and maintenance services for TUI's Integrated Disposition Planning and Statistics product (IDPS).

The five year deal enables IBS to build a service delivery model that optimises the operations and sync’s well with the company’s IDPS system.

This will not only help the company to maintain a check on its overall costs but also steer to the changing dynamics of the market.

The collaboration with a software company was the need of the hour for the aviation player. Especially with IBS having its expertise in both the airline domain as well as the software would be an added advantage for the company. Now the company can look at a long term strategic advantage. As the software company has currently almost 70% of their revenues coming in from the airlines sector. Thus the company can harp on their pool of resources and their cutting edge expertise in the sector.

IT operations form a major cost to the airlines company and with this deal the TUI Group Airlines can look at overhauling it costs to its operations.
