IIM-A students to develop complaint management system for MPs

Now, MP's can efficiently handle the complaints lodged by common people. Students at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad (IIM-A) would assist Parliament members for complaint handling through a project named "Connect with Leaders".

Students would present a web based interface called information and communication technology (ICT), to lodge complaints. The complaints would be lodged through voice response system (IVRS) and feedback can be received from the concerned departments.

The students would opt for the most convenient medium of communication to link MPs with their respective constituencies. Initially, the facility will be offered for three MP's. It would be extended to other members after its success during the initial phase.

Srijan Pal Singh, student co-coordinator at IIM-A said his team is working on the areas of dissatisfaction and complaints. Further a communication channel would be developed as per suitability. The channel of communication may be internet, telephone or mobile phone. The project, once implemented, would prove boon for both public and MPs.
