India’s export rise about 4 % in NovemberAccording to the latest data released by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the country's merchandise exports rose at the rate of 3.87 percent year-on-year.

The expert from the country rose to $22.32 billion in November. The increase is much lower than the 10.8 percent growth expected by the economists, according to the government data released this Monday.

On the other hand, imports jumped 24.55 percent from last year to $35.92 billion against an increase of 21.7 percent. The oil imports rose 32.28 percent while arrivals of non-oil products grew 21.69 percent in the month under review.

The total trade deficit for the country was at $ 13.60 billion in November 2011, compared to a deficit of $7.35 billion in the November of the previous year.

For the April-November period, the merchandise exports recorded an increase of 33.2% at $ 192.69 billion while imports for the same period rose 30.2% to the level of $ 309.53 billion. The trade deficit for the first eight months of the financial year was $ 116.83 billion from $93 billion in the same period of the previous financial year.
