Indo-Pak relations won’t improve even if Dawood is handed over: Musharraf

Indo-Pak relations won’t improve even if Dawood is handed over: MusharrafNew Delhi, Mar. 8 : Former Pakistan President General (r) Pervez Musharraf has challenged that even if Pakistan hands over Dawood Ibrahim to India, Indo-Pak relations won't improve.

"Even if he (Dawood Ibrahim) is handed over, relations (between India and Pakistan) will not improve. I challenge," Musharraf said.

Answering a query that Pakistan could hand over Dawood as a confidence building measure, Musharraf said "if we fail, you will hand him over back to us."

Earlier, at India Today conclave Musharraf had claimed that he did not "know at all if he (Dawood) was in Pakistan". The audience was taken aback when he made this claim while underlining that India and Pakistan must not harbor each other''s terrorists.

General Musharraf further said that he had no intention of joining politics, and he was happy living a retired life.

However, he was confident that the civilian government in Pakistan would take the country forward a better future. (ANI)
