It is believed that Apple's app store is fast gaining a foothold with a bold database that not only is strong but shows no signs of reigning down, and to add more surprise to this joins the latest series of iPad apps have reached the 10,000 milestone faster than their iPhone cousins.

It was just two years back when it took full five months for a dedicated iPhone/iPod touch app to reach the 10,000 mark.

The iPad has now reached a state that has become more established than the iTunes/App Store with an impressive growth chart on its side.

The majority of iPad apps that stand at 78% covering all iPad-specific apps leave iPhone at 75% with its 225,000 total apps.

This comes as great news for the developers as this milestone puts the iPad in third position behind iPhone and Android in terms of total apps on the market.
