Israel will not accept a nuclear Iran, defence minister says Tel Aviv  - Israel will not accept a nuclear Iran and would rule out no options in dealing with it, Defence Minister Ehud Barak told visiting US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Monday night.

According to reports from the meeting Barak held with Rice, the defence minister urged the United States to continue to impose sanctions on Tehran.

Israel regards Iran as its primary existential threat, given Tehran's nuclear ambitions coupled with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statements that the Jewish state should be erased from the map. (dpa)
