Sources claim that Imran threw a surprise party for Avantika on her birthday on July 18. In the party he proposed her before their close friends and family. Avantika gladly accepted. The couple has been dating from long time. They are regularly seen together at parties.

Secret of their engagement came to limelight during the opening ceremony of LAP, Arjun Rampal's nightclub in Delhi, where many celebrities of tinsel town were present. Arjun announced the good news during the party.

Imran said: “Yes it’s true. But we’re planning to have a proper ceremony later, so right now it’s just for us and our families.”
