Los Angeles  - Kanye West has removed a controversial, 14- minute video from his web site, in which he played a drunken clubgoer who abuses women.

The move came a month after West was widely condemned for interrupting the acceptance speech of country singer Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The video, entitled We Were Once a Fairytale, was directed by Spike Jonze and shows a drunken West groping women at a club before he goes to a bathroom to vomit and stabs himself in the chest. (dpa)
