Kate Middleton attends the Annual Remembrance Service in Chic Patchwork Coat

Kate Middleton has been known for her trend setting fashion style. The Duchess of Cambridge recently attended the Annual Remembrance Service wowing in her fashionable chic patchwork coat.

The 33-year-old wore a classy black McQueen coat by designer Alexander McQueen, a designer who died in 2010. The creative director of McQueen’s fashion house even designed Princess Kate’s iconic wedding dress in 2011.

Along with the black patchwork coat, the royal mother of two wore a black hat with a butterfly accent and a small mesh veil. The Duchess of Cambridge joined the Royal Family for Sunday’s event held to honour the British veteran soldiers and fallen troops.

Queen Elizabeth for the event was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh as well as several other political leaders at the memorial in Whitehall, London. On Saturday, November 7, the royals also attended a Festival of Remembrance held at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

According to Us Weekly, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, accompanied by Prince Philip and the Queen, gathered to applaud the touching tribute and performances made during the event.

For the event Princess Kate wore an elegant black lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana whereas Prince William looked handsome in a dark blue suit with a striped red and blue tie.

The royal couple even wore a red poppy to honour the veteran soldiers and fallen British troops.

Apart from touching speeches, the event included performances from Andrea Bocelli, Gregory Porter, Rod Stewart and Pixie Lott, Mirror reported.
