A group company of RPG group, KEC International Ltd (KEC) on Tuesday announced that it has taken over Jay Railway Signaling Private Limited.

With this, KEC has tried to strengthen its position in the Railways-related businesses as Jay is into the business of providing Railways Signaling Automation Systems & Technology services.

KEC is apt for this kind of work since it has a strong EPC base and it is one of the most important one to be built in railway infrastructure. KEC has already been involved with Indian Railways for setting up a railway track of 5,000 km.

With this acquisition, KEC will be having a whole array of services under its name which deal with Railway Infrastructure segment.

As per the information given by the company, the deal is going to cost it 13.96 crore rupees. Jay has assets worth 6.99 crore rupees under its name.

Said Ramesh Chandak, Managing Director & CEO, KEC International Ltd, that the acquisition is very strategic in nature and after this the company will be one of the biggest in this field. This is by no means a small achievement.
