Kindle sold out: Amazon
Amazon.com has claimed of selling the extant units of the $189 version of its Kindle e-reader. The company has not yet stated the coming of the fresh stock.
Through a notification posted on the site, the company said: "We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information."
According to the market analysts this move indicates the steadfastness of the position of Amazon's Kindle in the market and at the same time offers a tough competition to rivals such as Apple, Barnes & Noble and others.
Apple has reportedly sold 3.27 million iPads that has been released and it is stated that it will give a tough fight for Kindle. And in case of the e-book reader experts claim that the e-book reader sales will eventually come down soon after iPad sold million units within 28 days of its launch, other than 1.5 million e-books that were traded from its iBookstore.
Tech mag PC World reported that, Amazon CFO Thomas Szkutak, stated: "We're seeing very, very strong [Kindle] device growth and we're seeing very, very strong content growth."
