LK Advani for zero tolerance against terrorism

Senior BJP leader Lal Krishan AdvaniNew Delhi, Sept 16: Senior BJP leader LK Advani has appealed that the nation should adopt for zero tolerance against terrorism with all determination.

"There has to be change in the attitude. And what we call as the best policy against terrorism, in one word would be termed as 'zero tolerance'. We should not tolerate terrorism anymore. Such attitude should be adopted by the administration as well by the common man," Advani said.

"Strict law is required in our country to deal with terrorism. We should need such laws to strictly fight against it," Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said who visited Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital along with Advani on Monday.

Meanwhile, demanding ouster of the Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "The BJP demands that Shivraj Patil should immediately be dismissed."

Brushing aside the demand, Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi, said, "Between 1999 to 2004, there were at least ten such incidents like Raghunath Temple, Parliament attack, attack on Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and Akshardham Temple attack. Let the then deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Advani reply. How many times did he offer to resign and resigned?"

The bombings in New Delhi came after serial blasts in Jaipur, Bangalore and Ahmedabad which claimed more than hundred lives and injured many more. (ANI)
