L&T bags Visa Power's Rs. 1,600 crore contract

L&T bags Visa Power's Rs. 1,600 crore contract The Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has recently announced that it has bagged an Rs1, 610-crore order from Visa Power Ltd (VPL). It is to be mentioned here that the contract that is being recently awarded to L&T s aimed for construction of their 2x600 MW power plant.

For the record, the location of the project is being finalized at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. Under the terms of the deal, L&T will be responsible for the construction of the project on a Balance of Plant (BoP) package and it will be executed on EPC basis.

It may be noted here that the engineering major will be responsible for the design, engineer, supply, erect and commission all remaining works of the plant.

Moreover, L&T will also be providing associated services for the plant. Visa Power Ltd. Is a part of the Visa Steel and Power Group company and the recent order to L&T has come after it bagged a Rs. 6,500 crore order from Jaiprakash Power Ventures. There is no denying the fact that L&T has all the necessary strengths which one requires for the execution and on-time delivery of the project.
