Washington, December 9 : Madonna reportedly shelled out a million dollars on an Argentinean hotel bill after she and her crew checked out from its posh premises.

The Queen of Pop, who is presently trotting the globe for her `Sticky and Sweet' tour, is said to have spent the staggering amount at the Four Seasons resort so that her entire team could taste luxury while she reached for the microphone in a series of concerts in Buenos Aires.

The megastar had blown an alleged 9,000 dollars per night to stay at the hotel's private mansion while her 200 backing dancers, singers, make-up artists, choreographers, managers and security checked into another 110 rooms - costing at least 600 dollars each.

"When they check out on Tuesday, with room service and extras the bill will top 1 million dollars," Contactmusic quoted a source as telling the Sunday World.

"This is the finest hotel in South America, offering every luxury you could possibly imagine, and it doesn''t come cheap. We''ve had some pop stars and presidents before, but nothing quite like this," the source added.

The `Material Girl', who had was to perform in four concerts in Buenos Aires, had to drop the opening night in the capital and largest city of Argentina after some of her equipment reportedly arrived behind schedule. (ANI)
