Palma de Majorca, Spain - Spanish royal bodyguards Thursday detained a man who threw himself upon a delegation accompanying Crown Princess Letizia, yelling: "Death to the king!"

The wife of Crown Prince Felipe was visiting a hospital maternity ward in Palma on Majorca Island.

Officials described the "minor incident" as harmless, saying the attacker had been "immobilized to avoid a risky situation."

The 55-year-old Argentine citizen was under psychiatric treatment. (dpa)
