Microsoft named most attractive employer in India for the third year
US based American software giant, Microsoft has been named the most attractive employer in India for third year in a row.
A new survey by HR service firm, Randstad said that Microsoft again topped the list of attractive employers in the country ahead of Hewlett Packard in the second position and Google India in the third position.
Computing giant IBM came on the fourth position and state-run oil giant, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) completed the list of top five favourite employers. Others in the top ten includes Sony at sixth position, Larsen & Toubro at seventh place, Steel Authority of India at the eight spot, State Bank of India at ninth position and Tata Consultancy Services at the tenth spot.
The company also announced special honour to ONGC in the energy sector, Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) in the manufacturing sector and Larsen & Toubro in the infrastructure sector. The Survey shows that the attractiveness is important in the Indian market due to high attrition levels in several industries in the country.
"In the current competitive business environment, attracting and retaining the right talent are vital to organisation success. We are extremely happy to see an increase in Indian companies focusing on Employer Branding," Randstad India Chairman Paul Van De Kerkhof said.
