Microsoft Rolls Out ‘Silverlight 1.0’ In Indian Market

Microsoft_Silverlight 1.0Mumbai: Microsoft has launched its Silverlight 1.0 in the Indian market, as a part of its plan to offer powerful media experiences across the web, PC and mobile devices.

According to the company release, Silverlight 1.0 can provide web applications, to the businesses, that are more copious and synergistic. This guarantees a flawless and first-rate customer experience and low delivery costs.

Silverlight 1.0 offers dependable experiences to both Windows and Mac users by incorporating with subsisting web technologies and assets on different web browsers that include Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.

Microsoft is also working with Novell Inc to bring in Silverlight support for Linux, which will be known as ‘Moonlight’.

During the launch, Tarun Gulati, general manager, developer and platform Evangelism, Microsoft India, said, "Many companies in India and across the world today are using path breaking customer experience as a competitive advantage for their businesses, and we believe that Microsoft’s products such as Silverlight, Expression, WPF will allow companies to take this to the next level in an easy, cost effective manner. A few early adaptors of Silverlight 1.0 in India include Rediff.com and Sify.com, the Indian Cricket League, and Sulekha.com.
