More than 100 dead, missing in Philippine landslides Manila  - More than 100 people were reported dead or missing in a series of landslides brought about by days of heavy rains in the northern Philippines, officials said Friday.

At least 75 people were confirmed killed, while 72 remained missing in the landslides, which occurred in Benguet and Mountain provinces since Thursday.

The northern Philippines has been battered by heavy rains brought about by weakened typhoon Parma, which has been hovering over the area since the weekend. (dpa)
