While suffering from recession periods Indian software companies are now planning to do business with countries like Canada and Korea instead of the traditional markets provided by UK and US.

The shift of the greater focus to these countries is giving Indian IT sector the aura of an actual worldwide business moving towards a matrix set up.

As the first step, locals are being appointed as the country heads with Infosys Technology appointing Frenz -Josef Schurmann and Eric Laffarque, both locals, as the country heads in Germany and France respectively though until now it had appointed just one person for the entire continent of Europe.

Wipro has been first in the race by appointing country heads in Japan in 2007 and France in 2008 long before other countries.

While Cognizant has emerged the most varied country outline manager with Dieter Berz in Germany, Tomoaki Takeuchi in Japan, Stefan Metzger in Switzerland, John Burgin in Australia and Christian Arguello as the country head in Argentina, TCs has been the most conformist one on the list with the least number of country heads.
