MSI Further Expands Retail Reach In Indian MarketMicro Star International (MSI) declared that they will further increase their retail reach to make their variety of notebook computers easily available to a broader client base.

In a consumer-friendly move, MSI has joined hands with popular large format retail chains such as Croma, Reliance Digital and Big Bazaar across several cities.

Under the retail drive, the notebook computers will be exhibited at dedicated MSI-branded counters in the LFR stores.

In addition, clients will be capable of browsing and accessing thorough product literature, whereas expert staff will on hand to give details about products and assist customers derive an "MSI experience" before making their purchase decision.

In a declaration, Tony Yang, MD of MSI India, stated, "The LFR stores will bring new availability for MSI's industry-leading notebooks to a wider consumer base. They will help buyers make more informed decisions by acquainting them with the capabilities and unique features of the different models."

MSI had started their LFR plan with 30 Croma stores across major metropolitans, in Jan 2010. This plan is now growing to over 43 Stores across 10 nations comprising Delhi, Mumbai, Cochin, Ahmadabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad and Rajkot.

The company will be retailing the modish and high-quality X-Slim series of notebook computers plus their Classic series via the Croma outlets.

Additionally, MSI has already commenced rollout of similar retail plan via Reliance and Big Bazaar stores.

MSI notebooks are available at over 20 Reliance stores across ten cities, and another 21 Big Bazaar outlets in Delhi, NCR and Mumbai.

Johnny Lin, National Product, Sales and Marketing Manager for MSI India said that similar affiliations with other retail chains were on the anvil.

"The tie-up with these large retailers will strengthen MSI presence in India. The brand aims at leveraging an environment where the customers can have a first hand experience of MSI latest technology before buying it. Similar kind of tie-ups will be rolled out with more outlets within next 6 months," Lin said.

The MSI retail outlet plan is driven by rising demand and is part of MSI's promise to the Indian market.

A few months back, the company has set up its first branded retail access point for its complete variety of laptop computers, in Delhi's IT trade hub - Nehru Place market in association with its channel partner Sun Computers.

The MSI retail outlet programme via LFR chains and co-branded individual stores will increase the number customer access points in the country to 300 from 90 presently by the end of 2010.
