‘Firaaq’ will be screened at the Telluride Film Festival (TFF) in North America even before its commercial release. The film is produced by Percept Picture Company (PPC) production.

The story of the film is based on the massacre of minority community in the Gujarat riots. Large scale bloodshed happened in Gujarat, after the post Godhra incidences in which a number of people lost their property and lives.

The film would be the single one, which will be selected for 35th edition of the TFF. Telluride Film Festival (TFF) is starting from Friday in America. The film is directed by Nandita Das. She expressed happiness over the selection of film in the Telluride Film Festival.

The film will be released in India in the month of October. Naseeruddin Shah, Paresh Rawal, Deepti Naval, Raghubir Yadav, Sanjay Suri and Tisca Chopra are some of the leading character of the film. New stares Shahana Goswami and Nowaz also played their respective role in the film.
