News from the IT SectorThere is a lot of hustle bustle going on in the IT sector. The Income-Tax Department has started the investigation on Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for declaring tax benefits for ashore services. Earlier, Infosys and Wipro were under the department’s scrutiny.

TCS will be facing tax surveillance for Body shopping, alike Infosys and Wipro. A report stated, “Income-Tax Department has sent TCS a scrutiny notice claiming tax benefits for onshore services. Onshore software services account to nearly 45% of TCS' $8-billion revenues”.

The Income-Tax Department has argued that as the specialists have administered the oversees deal between the foreign customers and the local software company leads to the export of the employees.

Even Wipro is in news this time, as on Thursday, the World Bank declared that the Company was applicable to be the vendor again. Wipro was earlier banned for four years and now the ban term will be ending in this month.

The other significant news of the week is the launching of Xoom tablet in India, with 3G and Wi-Fi, costing at Rs 32,990 and RS 39,990 each. Furthermore, even HTC, a Taiwanese handset maker, has also launched its tablet named Flyer, in India. The price of flyer is Rs 39,890.
