As a listed IT services business company, NIIT Technologies, announced a net profit of Rs 36.7 crore for the second quarter ended 30 September, a 7% growth over the corresponding period a year-ago.

The revenues of the company grew 13 per cent to Rs 258.7 crore from its revenues in the corresponding quarter in the last year.

In its second quarter of FY’08, the software company had posted a net profit of Rs 34.4 crore. As far as company revenue is concerned, it grew by 13 per cent to Rs 258.7 crore from its revenues in the corresponding quarter in the last year. The operating profit of the software company has increased by 8% in the second quarter to Rs45.8 crore.

During the quarter, the company had also added 5 new customers to its tally.
