Nissan reshuffles top management for Indian operationsJapan-based Nissan Motor Co on Tuesday reshuffled its senior management team for India operations.

Japanese auto maker Nissan today announced rejig of top management in India with Kenichiro Yomura being appointed as President.

The auto giant announced that it appointed Kenichiro Yomura as the new President of Nissan Motor India. Yomura, who was previously serving the company as MD and CEO, will now be responsible for the company's overall functioning in India.

Ajay Raghuvanshi has been appointed as vice-president of business management. He will oversee pricing, marketing, sales and operations. Raghuvanshi earlier worked with several rival auto manufacturers like Tata Motors, Honda, Hyundai and Yamaha.

The management was reshuffles as the company is struggling to stem declining sales.

A person familiar with the development at the company said, "Nissan's product strategy has not worked in favour of the company with pricing of most its products going wrong. Hence, it is necessary for the company to bring in changes."

Nissan aims to launch 10 new products and grab 10 per cent market share by 2016. At the end of March 2013, the company owned just 1.87 per cent share of the Indian car market.
