The much anticipated Nokia N9, which is the first handset from the Finnish handset maker to run on the Meego platform, is set to be launched on 23 September.

The launch date has been confirmed by a new countdown clock put by the company on its official Swedish website. The N9 features a ultra slim design and an impressive 3.9 inch AMOLED display with gorilla glass coating fro extra protection.

The handset also features an 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens. It will come in two variants; one with 16 GB built in storage capacity and another with massive 64GB storage.

According to some reports, the countdown watch applies to the Swedish market and the company is still mum about launching the handset in the UK market.
