Andy Roddick, fought back after losing the opening set to reach his second straight final at a Masters 1000 event with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 defeat of Rafael Nadal in Miami on Friday.
Less than a fortnight after losing to Ivan Ljubicic in the Indian Wells trophy match, Roddick was back at the business end of an event as he waited for a Sunday finals opponent from Swedish fifth seed Robin Soderling and Czech number 16 Tomas Berdych, conqueror of Roger Federer at Crandon Park.

Brisbane, Jan 4 : Top seed Andy Roddick gave his October knee injury a solid test Monday, firing 15 aces in a first-round defeat of Australian Peter Luczak 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 at the Brisbane International.
The American, playing in Australia for only the second time outside of the January Open, was joined as a winner by second seed Radek Stepanek. The veteran Czech out put Australian John Millman 6-4, 6-0.
Roddick has said that his knee injury is still not 100 percent but he expects to be fit for the Grand Slam start Jan 18 in Melbourne.

The American could well not play again until the November 22 start in London of the eight-man event after learning of his good fortune.

New York - Andy Roddick has offered a low opinion of meddling from tennis anti-corruption officials, who have warned players to control their tweeting at the US Open.
Fifth seed Roddick called it "lame that the US Open is trying to regulate our tweeting. I understand the on-court issue but not sure they can tell us if we can't do it on our own time? We'll see.
"You would seriously have to be a moron to send 'inside info' through a tweet."

According to a source, Decker "just signed on for a guest role" for the ABC comedy.
The 22-year-old American model will star alongside America Ferrera as the frumpy fashionista''s co- worker, Lexie, reports New York Post.

Montreal - Two-time Canadian champion Andy Roddick hung tough in a final-set tiebreaker to outlast Fernando Verdasco 7-6 (7- 2), 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), reaching the quarter-finals of the Montreal Masters Thursday.
The American fifth seed has now played the quarters or better at his last five events dating to Queen's club on grass in early June. Roddick was out-aced by Spain's Verdasco 13 to 12 in a struggle lasting more than two and a half hours.

The top seeded Andy Roddick of USA survived a scare from Ivo Karlovic of Croatia and he defeated his opponent in straight sets by 7-6 (7/4), 7-6 (7/5) to advance in to semifinals of the Washington Classic tournament on Friday.
The fifth ranked Roddick connected 74 percent of first serves in the match as compared to 59 percents by his opponent. However, Karlovic smashed 13 aces as compared to only seven aces by Roddick.
Roddick will meet with John Isner in the semifinal. John ousted eighth seeded Tomas Berdych of Czech in a three setter match by 6-3, 6-7 (10/12), 6-2. Roddick and John had met each other only once in the past.

Washington - German Benjamin Becker sent over a massive 27 aces Tuesday to lift into a second-round confrontation with Wimbledon finalist Andy Roddick at the Legg Mason Classic.
Becker has lost both of his previous matches with Roddick, the top seed who will make his first start since a five-set loss to Roger Federer a month ago in the Wimbledon final.
Ginepri was trying to maintain momentum from his title in Indianapolis, Indian - his first since 2005 at the same venue - but was derailed at the first hurdle in Rock Creek Park.
Becker, ranked 47th, won his 11th match this season against seven defeats.
