New Delhi, July 6 : Celina Jaitley was recently stuck at the Colombo airport for 11 hours when she was returning home from a trip to the Maldives.

The 29-year-old was on her way home when she had to stop over at the airport for a connecting flight to Mumbai. Her flight duration from Maldives to Colombo took less than estimated time, but her flight to Mumbai was delayed by 11 hours, said a statement.

As Celina didn't have Sri Lankan visa, she couldn't go out of the airport and had to kill time in a small rented room at the airport.

New Delhi, June 7 : Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley has pledged to support the "Plant a Tree" initiative to create awareness and educate society on the importance of a green nation.

The initiative is taken by diamond brand, Diya Diamond, for which the 29-year-old actress is the brand ambassador.

The former Miss India, who is also an active gay rights activist, feels the tree plantation initiative has the power to become an agent of change in support of sustainable and equitable development.

Contrary to reports which claimed that she had already tied the knot with Peter Haag, a hotelier from Dubai, Celina Jaitley is presently only engaged to him! In a statement to the media, the actress says that the engagement took place during the Durga Puja celebrations at her home in Mumbai. Celina Jaitley laughs off the rumors of her supposed wedding in Dubai and says that her parents were very much aware of the fact that she was dating Peter Haag for a period of ten months now and therefore, there was practically no need for a secret wedding.

With many Bollywood actresses experimenting and entering the comedy genre, Celina Jaitly has seen it and done it all. She is most certainly the “Queen of Comedy” in the industry.

The Mumbai International Queer Film Festival named 'Kashish', which is going to be the biggest LGBT i.e., Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender event, in India, will commence on April 22.

It will be a four-day festival aiming at stimulating the minds of people and provoking them to think over the issue of gay rights. The festival will undertake the screening of 110 films from more than 25 countries at two different venues in Mumbai.

Celina Jaitley also joined the group by launching a campaign against the Bombay Gymkhana on Twitter. She is angry about the act where the elite club threw out a transgender activist.

Mumbai, Dec 29 : Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley will be performing at Country Club here on New Year's Eve, and not at JW Marriott as per earlier reports.

As per Celina's representative there was some mis-communication about the venue.

"There have been confusing reports recently about my performance on Dec 31. I would therefore like to clarify that I will be performing at Country club and not JW Marriot," said Celina in a statement. (IANS)

Celina Jaitley and Baba Ramdev are involved in raging war of words!

LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender) community brand ambassador and Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley hailed the Delhi High Court decision for legalizing homosexuality by striking down Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Elated with the HC ruling, the actress said that she was really happy and relived to see the change in the amendments.
