London, October 28 : Elizabeth Taylor has hailed her late long-term friend Michael Jackson as a "modern-day prophet".

The Hollywood veteran praised the King of Pop on her Twitter page, calling him a genius.

"To say the man is a genius is an understatement. He cradles each note, coaxes the music to depths beyond reality,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

"You owe it to yourselves and your loved ones to see this again and again. Memorize it and say to yourselves, ''I saw genius in my lifetime.''"

Washington, Oct 23 : Michael Jackson''s This Is It documentary has received a standing ovation from Elizabeth Taylor, it has emerged.

The late King of Pop''s longtime friend, 77, reportedly hosted a private screening of the documentary for several Jackson staff members, including his former assistant Miko Brando, at MGM Studios in L. A. last weekend, reports People.

And after watching the film, the legendary actress gave it two thumbs up, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Washington, October 9 : Elizabeth Taylor has revealed that her recent heart surgery was successful.

The legendary actress told fans on her Twitter page that the procedure to repair a “leaky” valve went off smoothly.

"My heart procedure went off perfectly," Us magazine quoted the 77-year-old as saying.

"It''s like having a brand-new ticker. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I know they all helped," she added.

London, October 7 : Elizabeth Taylor is set to undergo a pioneering surgery to repair a “leaky” valve.

The 77-year-old legendary actress, who suffered heart failure five years ago, asked fans for their prayers on her Twitter page.

“Dear Friends, I would like to let you know before it gets in the papers that I am going into the hospital to have a procedure on my heart,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

Washington, Sept 24 : Veteran actress Elizabeth Taylor wants to be laid to rest next to Michael Jackson, it has emerged.

A source told National Enquirer magazine that the 77-year-old actress, who was very close to Jackson is looking for a burial plot next to the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker at Los Angeles'' Forest Lawn cemetery.

London, Sept 17 : Elizabeth Taylor still pines for late hubby Richard Burton, and believes that they would have got married for the third time if the Welshman was still alive.

Burton''s niece, Sian Owen, revealed that the 77-year-old Taylor was still very much in love with Burton.

"I was in America last summer and I went to see Elizabeth. In the house in Bel Air I saw pictures of Uncle Rich everywhere and it''s a picture of uncle Rich that''s by her bed still,” the Telegraph quoted Owen as saying.

London, July 20 : Hollywood legend Dame Elizabeth Taylor has been released from a Los Angeles hospital after undergoing surgery.

Taylor, 77, had been admitted to a medical centre near her home in Beverly Hills on July 13, with reports claiming that she was emotionally drained following the death of her long-term pal Michael Jackson.

Her spokesperson subsequently scotched those reports, insisting that she was there for a minor surgery.

Her representatives have revealed that she is grieving her loss in private at this time.

The Hollywood legend said that Obama''s election campaign for change inspired her to hand over some cash to the alliance for Christian Education, reports Contactmusic.

The donation will go towards funding the organisation''s pilot programme for global outreach and the Providence Hall Christian High School in Santa Barbara.
