Kamal Haasan started his career as a child artist. He won National Award for acting in 'Kalathur Kannamma', in 1959, hence proving his acting talents in his very first film. Since then, he has worked in 150 films in several languages. He has played several roles in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films.

Citing the troubles of the Sri Lankan Tamils, the 'Universal Hero', during the last year, requested his buffs to stay off any celebrations on his birth anniversary.

The Bollywood Badshah has introduced southern super star Mammootty in the Hindi version of forthcoming movie ‘Pazhassi Raja’.

SRK has dubbed the prologue gratis for the movie that will bring the Lion of Kerala alive on screen.

Confirming the development, film producer Praveen VC said: "Shah Rukh has done the prologue of the movie for the Hindi version. SRK said he's from a family of freedom fighters and was happy to be associated with a project like this."


Madras HC clears release of Kamal Hassan's 'Unni Poloruvan'

Madras High Court on Thursday cleared the release of Kamal Haasan's Tamil film 'Unni Poloruvan'.

The bilingual film will be releasing on September 18.

An entertainment firm named Pyramid Saimira Productions International Ltd. had filed a suit alleging breach of contract.

Justice Rajasuriya directed Kamal to pay half the sum of money that he allegedly owes to Pyramid Saimira before 30 September.

Giving this information to the media persons, Kamal said: “It would be about 30 short films about this city called Chennai. We will begin with Chennai, we will go to other cities as well. We are not making documentaries. It's about the fictional world of writers as they look at Chennai.”

Unnaipol Oruvan is a remake of Neeraj Pandey’s directed critically acclaimed Hindi small budget film ‘A Wednesday’.

Chakri Toleti is directing the movie. Raajkamal International and U TV Motion Pictures will produce the film jointly.

The South superstar said that he would feel proud if his birthday can be used as a tiny fulcrum to leverage public opinion against the genocide. Expressing solidarity with the Tamils in Sri Lanka, Kamal said: "Many are dying for a reason so unbelievably simple. They speak the same language - Tamil - as I do."

Ace actor-director Kamal Haasan has announced that his upcoming flick Marmayogi’ - The Costliest Indian Film By Kamal Hassan!‘Marmayogi’ will be produced under his banner in association with Pyramid Saimira.

After Dasavatharam, the multi-talented star Kamal Haasan has begun Kajolpre-production work on his new flick ‘Marmayogi.’

Kamal is not only starring in this film, but he is also directing and producing it. It is a big budget film, and he is in search of a few suitable corporates to fund the recent project.

‘Marmayogi’ is said to be a historical adventure romantic movie with an ‘A’ list of actors. Kamal is trying to rope in a Bollywood starlet for his film, and the hum is that Kajol might get a call in this regard.

The music of the film will be composed by ace music director AR Rahman. The rest of the cast and crew are being worked out.
