Sydney, Jan 5 - Captain Michael Clarke posted the highest Test score at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) while Mike Hussey struck the third century of the innings to take Australia to a massive 583 for four in the first innings, in reply to India's 191, at lunch on the third day of the second cricket Test here Thursday.
Clarke was batting on 293 and Hussey on 111, and their 258-run unbroken stand for the fifth wicket stretched Australia's first innings lead by 392 runs after a dominating first session's play.

Sydney, Sept 8: Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke's mother Debbie is recovering at home after recently suffering a brain haemorrhage.
The Australian captain''s mother spent two weeks in hospital in early August, but she is now on the mend and back in her southern Sydney home, The Daily Telegraph quoted sources close to Clarke, as saying.

Colombo, Aug 28: Australian captain Michael Clarke has shown more good signs that he is emerging from an extended barren stretch by scoring an elegantly constructed century in the practice match against the Sri Lankan Board XI in Colombo.
Clarke scored 104 from 127 balls, which included 12 fours and a six.
The 30-year-old has gone without a hundred in his past 19 Test innings, a rough period in which he has reached 50 only three times, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Michael Clarke's future as Australia's Twenty20 captain is going to be decided next week. Most of the cricket experts in Australia believe that the poor batting performance in the recent World Cup at West Indies has been the major drawback for Clarke.
His dismal performance with the bat in the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean has been the criticized the most. The team has managed to reach the finals but not able to thrash England in that match.

Wives and girlfriends of other cricketers cheered them on from the Gabba stands as the Aussies demolished the Caribbeans, however, Bingle was nowhere to be seen.
Earlier Bingle was also missing from an official pre-Test function attended by the majority of the cricket WAGs at the Gallery of Modern Art.
According to reports, Bingle is holidaying in Bali.

Test vice-captain Clarke ignited the captaincy debate when he spoke of his determination to one day claim the highest office in Australian cricket.
