New Delhi/Mumbai, Mar. 7 : In separate instances, Home Minister P Chidambaram and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee have said that Pakistan faced the threat of becoming a "failed state."
Hyderabad, Mar 6 : Home Minister P Chidambaram today said that Pakistan has to dismantle the terror infrastructure and declare zero tolerance to terrorism.
Addressing mediapersons here at a press conference after reviewing security situation in Andhra Pradesh, Chidambaram make it clear to Pakistan that arrests of one or two persons in connection with the Mumbai terror attacks was not enough and asked Islamabad to declare zero tolerance towards the scourge.
New Delhi, Mar. 3: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) chief Robert Mueller arrived here on Tuesday to meet Home Minister P. Chidambaram, National Security Advisor M. K. Narayanan and other top functionaries of the government.
The FBI chief’s meeting with government officials over security issues, including counter terrorism, is expected to start this afternoon.
Official sources have confirmed that Muller will also meet Intelligence Bureau Chief Rajiv Mathur.

New Delhi, Feb 24 : Union Home Minister P Chidambaram declared in the Lok Sabha, on Tuesday, that the government will issue multipurpose identity cards to all citizens as check against illegal migration into India.
Chidambaram claimed that the process of preparing a register of national population is on and it is likely to be completed by 2010-11.
He further asserted that the security forces are maintaining a strict vigil is being maintained on the India - Bangladesh border to check illegal migration.
