No plans to enter politics: Priyanka GandhiAmethi, Mar 24 : Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the daughter of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, on Tuesday said she had no plans to contest elections or enter politics but would continue campaigning for the Congress.

Talking to the reporters here, Priyanka said, "Like previous years, I will oversee campaigning in Amethi and Rae Bareli. I have no intentions to enter politics or to contest elections."

Priyanka is on a two-day tour of Amethi and Rae Bareli-constituencies represented by brother Rahul Gandhi and mother Sonia Gandhi respectively.

“Varun’s comments are against the traditions and principles of the Gandhi family, and he has gone against what the Gandhis have lived and died for. It made me very sad to see him saying those things,” Priyanka told reporters here.

Addressing the Congress party workers, Priyanka "Only those who serve the people without any expectations would be remembered in politics," she added.

The gathering was strictly closed to the media.

Priyanka Gandhi urges people to vote to fight militancy

New Delhi, Nov 29 : United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today appealed to the people of Delhi to cast their vote on Saturday and neutralise the terror tactics of militants.

Priyanka was among the first few to cast her vote this morning along with her husband Robert Vadera.

“I think it is very important to cast a vote for all of us to show that we believe in democracy and we will fight any affront to our nation and to our pride as is happening in Bombay. Militants should be killed. I think it is an affront to our nation, and whoever has done that, should be made to pay for it,” said Priyanka.
