The famous Dutt family might be facing some turbulent times. It is well known that the patriarch of the family, Sunil Dutt, had always been a Congress person.

His daughter, Priya Dutt, followed in his footsteps and is a Congress Lok Sabha MP from Mumbai-North-West in Maharashtra. However, his son, Sanjay Dutt seems to have different plans and is planning to contest Lok Sabha elections from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.

Pune, Jan 21 : Bollywood Actor Sanjay Dutt is now the owner of a super luxury bus priced at 30 million rupees which can be used for multiple purposes like shoots and also his newly announced political career.

Dutt, who is all set to make his debut in politics by contesting in the forthcoming general elections from Lucknow on the Samajwadi Party''s ticket, will have to do a lot of travelling and the multiple utility luxury bus will be helpful.

The bus built by India''s ace automobile designer Dilip Chhabria on the original Volvo chassis is laced with gadgets providing all comforts.

Lucknow, Jan. 18: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who wants to contest upcoming Indian parliament elections from Lucknow, said on Saturday that he would not fight against former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Vajpayee, who is a lawmaker from Lucknow, is not expected to contest owing to deteriorating health.

Dutt, who was convicted in connection with India''s worst -ever Mumbai serial blasts case in 1993 would be a candidate of regional Samajwadi Party, a key ally of the ruling Congress party.

Lucknow, Jan 17  :Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt made his political debut as a Samajwadi party candidate for the Lucknow parliamentary constituency on Saturday by practically launching his election campaign with a road show here.

The actor-turned-politician was accompanied by wife Manyatta and Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tewari in his first ever political rally.

Mumbai, Jan. 14 : Congress MP Priya Dutt has said that she is very disappointed over her actor-brother Sanjay Dutt''s decision to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on a Sawajwadi Party''s (SP) ticket.

She said the decision of Sanjay Dutt to contest the election on the Samajwadi Party ticket was his personal decision. She rejected any family feud over it.

Bollywood's Munna Bhai would be the Samajwadi Party candidate from Lucknow for the poll expected in May this year.

But there are still uncertainities that surround his prospects of actually contesting the Lok Sabha polls, because Sanjay Dutt is out on bail after being sentenced to six years rigorous imprisionment by a TADA court for being in illegal possession of arms including an AK-56 automatic rifle and point 9 mm pistol.
