New Delhi, Sep 25 - Auditions, rejections... Shahid Kapoor rewinds to life 10 years back when he was just one among the thousands vying to find a place in Bollywood. And an actor father was no bonus, says the 30-year-old, whose progression from a chocolate boy hero to a mature actor is subtly reflected in his latest release, "Mausam".
"Ten years back, I was dreaming to being where I am today," Shahid told IANS in an interview as he sat back to recall his journey.
'Mausam' screenings at Toronto film fest cancelled

Toronto, Sep 14 : The screenings of Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor starrer "Mausam" at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival has been cancelled due to censor delays in India, the organisers said.
"We are extremely disappointed that the studio has informed us that the film will not have received the necessary regulatory approvals in India, forcing us to cancel all screenings of 'Mausam'," Cameron Bailey, co-director of the festival, said in a statement.

New Delhi, Sep 13 : Actor Shahid Kapoor says his forthcoming "Mausam", which got into trouble after Indian Air Force (IAF) raised objections to an aerial action sequence, has finally got the nod from the censor board.
" 'Mausam' finally got its censor certificate last night (Monday)... Watching it now with family in a bit," Shahid posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Mumbai, July 12 : Actor-turned-director Pankaj Kapoor admits that the story of his directorial debut "Mausam" was specifically conceived for his actor son Shahid, but he had no specific names in his mind for the female lead.
"The film was specifically written keeping Shahid in mind. It's not that I had written the script and then decided on Shahid," Pankaj told reporters at the launch of the first look of "Mausam" at PVR here Monday.

Mumbai, June 18 : It looks like the glam dream of seeing the three gen-X superstars Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan locked in a battle to the finish would remain just a fantasy. The expected clash Sep 9 this year between Shahid's "Mausam", Ranbir's "Rockstar" and Imran's "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" is not happening!
Though official sources claim otherwise, director Imtiaz Ali's "Rockstar" has been moved forward to November.

New Delhi, May 9 : Shahid Kapoor, who completed eight years in tinsel town Monday, thanked his fans for their love and support. He describes his journey as "a hell of a ride".
"Today, I complete 8 yrs as an actor .... Thank u all for all the love ... I'm here only cause of u ... So thank u again! It's been a hell of a ride ... But I gotta feeling I'm just getting warmed up! (sic)," Shahid posted on his Twitter page.

New Delhi, April 21 : Who is India's sexiest bachelor? A new TV show will reveal the answer after the public casts its preferences from a panel which could include Rahul Gandhi, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Salman Khan.
The show is being brought on the small screen by Reliance Broadcast Network's BIG CBS PRIME, 92.7 BIG FM and BIG MAGIC.
The winner will be selected on the basis of public voting and the opinion of a jury, which is expected to include three leading ladies from tinsel town.
Shahid promotes vegetarianism in new PETA ad

Mumbai, April 11 : Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who was voted Bollywood's sexiest vegetarian by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), will be seen urging people to turn vegetarian in a new ad of the animal rights group.
In the new ad titled "Chicks Love a Vegetarian", a casually dressed Shahid is seen with two downy yellow chicks perched on his body, extolling the benefits of a plant-based diet. The ad is shot by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar
"I love chicks... pigs, cows, fish, and all the other animals too. That's why I turned vegetarian," said Shahid.
