Klitschko predicts knock out against Gomez; Chagaev back in ring Stuttgart  - World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko predicted Monday he would knock out Cuban Juan Carlos Gomez in a mandatory bout in Stuttgart in March.

"You're difficult to send to the floor but I'll manage it," the 37-year-old Ukrainian told his challenger in Stuttgart.

"You talk too much," Gomez countered at a news conference ahead of the March 21 bout at the Hans-Martin-Schleyer hall.

Vitali Klitschko agrees to take on Haye

Vitali KlitschkoLondon - World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will fight British challenger David Haye in London next summer, it was reported Monday.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) quoted Klitschko's manager Bernd Boente as saying the fight could take place at Wembley stadium.

"We agreed to do the fight next summer in London," Boente was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"It could take place at Wembley, but maybe it's too big. I'd personally prefer Chelsea. I've been there a couple of times and I'm a fan."

Vitali Klitschko told to fight Gomez

Hamburg - Ukraine heavyweight Vitali Klitschko has been ordered to make a mandatory defence of his World Boxing Council (WBC) title against the German-based Cuban Juan Carlos Gomez.

The WBC agreed at its 46th general assembly in Chengdu, China Thursday that should the promoters of both boxers fail to agree on a fight, the bout would be open to purse bids on December 19 at the WBC's headquarters Mexico City.

Klitschko, 37, returned to the ring after a four-year absence to reclaim the WBC belt last month by beating Samuel Peter in a one-sided fight in which the Nigerian retired after the eighth round.
