Poland's ambassador to Montenegro struck by lightning

Poland's ambassador to Montenegro struck by lightning Podgorica - Poland's ambassador to Montenegro has been injured and one person has died after they were struck by lightning during a climbing expedition, local media reported Monday.

Ambassador Jaroslaw Lindenberg broke his arm and suffered burns after being hit by lightning, while Montenegrin climber Andrej Tomovic was killed.

The ambassador was admitted to a hospital in Podgorica, the capital, on Sunday evening. Although he was seriously injured, he is in no danger, doctors said.

Lindenberg was in a group of 11 people who tried to climb a mountain in central Montenegro. (dpa)
