Barack Obama and John McCainLondon, Sept 10: A new survey conducted in 22 countries has found that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was more preferred to his Republican rival John McCain.

Conducted by the BBC World Service, the poll found that the most common view that emerged from different countries was that Obama should win the November poll. A total of 22,500 were interviewed during the survey.

Kantipur quoted Nepali Congress leader Dr. Prakash Saran Mahat as saying that the government should call an all-party meeting to decide the national agenda. The Prime Minister during his bilateral talks with India should take up issues finalized through the all-party consensus.

The Obama Campaign is seeing Clinton as the best counter to Palin as far as attracting the votes of white working women and mothers who supported her during the Democratic primaries.

Leading an evening rally in Tampa, Clinton, however, chose to use a line that she had used at two earlier events -- “No way, no how, no McCain — no Palin!”

Leading a high-level delegation of his party, the PML-N chief met Zardari on Monday to congratulate him on his election as president of Pakistan.

According to a participant at the meeting, Zardari responded: “No, I am normal.”
